The Job

This is a full-time on-site job role at our Ambalangoda office for a Senior Software Engineer (PHP). As an SSE, you will be responsible for developing efficient, scalable, and maintainable PHP web applications and APIs. You will be expected to collaborate closely with other developers, product managers, and customer support teams while ensuring high code quality and adherence to company standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in PHP developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Minimum 2 year industrial experience in software/ web application development using PHP or any other programming language
• Expert proficiency in PHP, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and code optimization
• Hands-on experience with PHP frameworks such as Laminas, Zend, Symfony or CodeIgniter
• Strong understanding of SQL and experience with MySQL or MSSQL or ORACLE
• Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience in integrating with third-party APIs
• Proficiency in Git, Linux, and cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies in PHP development
